Welcome to the June newsletter from the Pilbara Health team

In this issue, we invited frontrunners in the Be Active challenge to share their fitness secrets and talk about why exercise is important to them. We also found out how our top teams shaped up at the halfway mark of the national challenge.

Staying motivated midway through a 10-week challenge can be tough, especially for first-timers, so if you know someone taking part give them a well-earned pat on the back.

This month, we also announce the first winners of our Be Active random draw.  The names of Western Australian participants averaging 10,000 steps a day were entered into the draw and two winners every fortnight will be randomly selected.

If the Be Active challenge has helped to revitalise your daily exercise routine, maybe it’s time to line up for the next challenge - Perth’s City to Surf.

Employees and their families who participate in this year’s City to Surf charity event will be supported with registration costs and t-shirts. The event includes a 4 kilometre or 12 kilometre  walk or run and half or full marathon, so check what you’re doing on Sunday, August 30.

More information about sponsorship will be forwarded shortly and in the meantime, go to www.citytosurf.activ.asn.au for competition details.

See you there!
